Victorian Illustration: Happy New Year (from 1865)

This is a black and white illustration that originally appeared in an 1865 issue of Arthur's Home Magazine. It shows a portrait of a Victorian girl clutching her favourite toys, enclosed within an oval frame accompanied by the caption "Happy New Year" at the bottom of the frame. You can downlad the high-res 8" x 10" @ 300 ppi JPEG without a watermark here. Looking forward to sharing more images in 2017 and exploring new ways of using them in art journals and mixed media collages! Have a safe and wonderful Happy New Year, everyone. :)
