Victorian Illustration: Mother Reading Christmas Stories from 1887

A black and white illustration that originally appeared in the December 1887 issue of St. Nicholas Magazine. It shows a Victorian mother reading Christmas stories to her two children (both are snuggled up close to her) as snow falls in big, fat flakes outside the living-room window. Doesn't this look like a cozy holiday scene? I thought this would be fantastic for a scrapbooking page or collage art but of course you can also use it in a graphic design project. The free high-resolution 5" x 8.5" @ 300 ppi JPEG can be downloaded without a watermark here.
